General questions

Is this the official Massar website?
No. This is an independent site providing informational guides only, not affiliated with the Ministry of National Education. The official portal is massarservice.men.gov.ma and the student portal is moutamadris.men.gov.ma.
Is the site free to use?
Yes, all the guides and tools on the site are available for free.
Do you ask for my username or password?
Never. We do not collect your login details and never ask for them. Only enter your username and password on the official portal.
Is it spelled “masar” or “massar”?
Both refer to the same platform. In Arabic it is مسار; in Latin letters people write massar or masar, and the student space is written moutamadris or motamadris. The spelling doesn’t matter — but note that the official government domain ends in men.gov.ma, while our site is independent and is not that official domain.
What languages is the site available in?
The site is available in Arabic and English; switch between them using the language button at the top.

What is the official Massar / Moutamadris login link?
The official student portal is moutamadris.men.gov.ma, part of the Massar platform. Avoid any other link or unofficial app that asks for your username and password.
I forgot my username — what should I do?
Your username is usually your Massar code (the identifier assigned to you by your school). If you can’t find it, ask your school’s administration or your class supervisor, as it is stored in the system.
Why do I get an “incorrect password” message even though it looks right?
Check your keyboard language, make sure Caps Lock is off, and remove any spaces before or after the password. If it still fails, use the password recovery service.
Are “massar”, “masar” and “moutamadris” the same thing?
Yes. Massar (massar / masar) is the name of the platform, and Massar Moutamadris (moutamadris / motamadris) is the student sign-in space inside it. Only the spelling differs — and the official link always ends in men.gov.ma.

Account Activation

Where do I get my Massar / activation code?
Your Massar code (activation code) is given to you by your school's administration or your class supervisor. If you haven't received it, ask the administration directly, and never share it with anyone else.
I see “account already activated” — what does that mean?
It means the account has already been set up. Don't activate it again; go straight to the login page, and if you've forgotten your password, use the password recovery service instead.
My personal information doesn't match during activation — what should I do?
There may be a small error in your date of birth or name in the system. Contact your school's administration to correct your records, then try again once they're updated.
I activated my account but can't log in — why?
Make sure you're using the username you created during activation and not your Massar code, and double-check the letter case and spaces in your password. If you've forgotten it, use the password recovery service.

Password Reset

Where do I start if I forgot my password?
On the same official login page, moutamadris.men.gov.ma, click the “forgot password” link and follow the steps. Never use any other website or app to reset your password.
The reset email didn’t arrive — what should I do?
Check your spam / junk folder, wait a few minutes, and confirm the email address on file is correct. If nothing arrives, you may not have a recovery email set on your account.
I never set a recovery email or security question — can I still reset it myself?
Self-service reset isn’t possible in that case. You’ll need to contact your school administration to have your password reset in the system.
My reset link has expired — what now?
Reset links are usually time-limited. If yours has expired, go back to the login page, request a fresh link from “forgot password”, and use it promptly before it lapses.

Grades & Results

When do grades appear in my Massar student space?
Each subject's grade shows up only after the teacher enters it and the administration validates and publishes it. Some subjects may stay blank until validation is complete, which is perfectly normal.
How is the average calculated in Massar?
The average is the sum of each grade multiplied by its subject coefficient, divided by the total of the coefficients. In short: average = sum of (grade × coefficient) ÷ sum of coefficients.
One of my grades looks wrong — what should I do?
This site cannot change official grades. If you spot a mistake, contact your school administration or the relevant teacher so it can be corrected inside the system.
Why is my overall average not showing even though some grades appear?
The average is usually calculated and shown only after all of a term's grades are entered and validated. Wait for the grades to be complete, or check the results-calendar page for expected dates.
What is the pass mark in Massar?
Grades in Massar are usually out of 20, and the general pass threshold is often 10 out of 20 as an average. The exact rules and thresholds can vary by school level and year, so always rely on what your school announces officially.

Digital ID (NFC)

Who can use the NFC digital-identity feature?
This feature is usually for people who already hold an electronic national ID card (CNIE), often older students or baccalaureate candidates. The older, non-electronic national ID card will not work with this method.
Does NFC linking work on every phone?
No. Your phone must have NFC support and it must be turned on. If your phone has no NFC, this method may not be available and an alternative verification could be offered — it's best to check with your school.
Where should I hold the card against the phone?
Place the card flat against the back of the phone, usually near the upper area where the NFC antenna sits, and keep it still for a few seconds until the read completes. Removing the phone case may help.
Is linking a digital ID safe?
It is safe as long as you do it through the official Massar portal on the official domain (men.gov.ma) and not through a third-party app or site. Its purpose is to verify your identity electronically, so keep your ID card details private and never enter them anywhere unofficial.

Parent Space

What is the Massar parent space (Waliye)?
It is a space for parents and guardians to follow their child's schooling remotely: attendance, behaviour, grades and averages, timetable and school announcements, through the parent portal or the Waliye app.
Can I link more than one child to a single account?
Yes, the space usually lets you link several children to one parent account. Use the “add a child” option and enter each pupil's details separately.
My child's Massar code isn't accepted — what should I do?
Double-check the Massar code and the child's personal details with the school. They must match exactly what is recorded in the system before the link can be made.
Should I use the Waliye app or the web version?
Both work and use the same login. The app is handy for instant notifications about absences and grades, while the web version is useful when you don't have your phone. Pick whichever suits you — the same data appears in both.

School Orientation

Why can’t I see the orientation section in my space?
The orientation section is only available during the official window set by the Ministry and your academy. If you don’t see it, the window has probably not opened yet or has already closed. Check the exact dates with your school administration.
Can I change a preference after I’ve confirmed it?
This may be possible as long as the deadline hasn’t passed — reopen the section, adjust the ranking and confirm again. After the deadline it’s hard to change, and it’s best to speak with your school’s guidance counselor.
Who decides the final orientation?
The final decision is made by the orientation councils, based on your grades and results, your ranked preferences, and the available capacity in each branch. Your preference matters, but it isn’t the only factor.
Does putting a branch first guarantee I’ll get it?
No. Ranking a branch first only shows your preference — admission still depends on your grades and the branch’s available capacity in the school map. If your grades don’t allow it or the places are full, you may be assigned a later preference in your ranking.
